I am writing this email to firstly tell you of the experiences I have had and still continue to have as a Support Worker for Progress2Work Linkup in Manchester.
The role that I fulfil on a daily basis is one, that I feel, is both rewarding and humbling to me. I meet people on a day to day basis that have enormous barriers to employment and it is my job to help reduce these barriers as effectively as possible.
This process enables me to witness first hand the issues that they face, and allows me to deal with them head on.
Some of the issues these individuals face are, to say the least, distressing, ranging from abuse to severe family breakdown. Through the service that A4e offers these Client's, we are, together, helping people overcome and deal with some truly awful experiences, and helping them to secure further education and employment opportunities..
I suppose what I am saying, is that without this particular provision, another set of individuals could potentially be socially excluded as I am sure you have witnessed at some point over the years.
So, from me, a big thanks to A4e for giving me the opportunity to work with a great Client group and offering me a worth while career.
Best Regards
Paul
