Absolutely marvellous - I have just had my first skype experiences...
My regular readers will know that i have been a wee bit poorly ( much better now) - well... my lovely, talented, empathic, gifted consultant ( he reads this blog and has a sharp scalpel - hence the need for the over the top flattery!) - jet setted off to Sweden a few days ago - to extend his cutting, slicing, probing and poking knowledge. He no doubt felt the need to keep me under his control ( to prevent a further flight from the hospital appointments etc) - so he asked if i had Skype. No was my answer.
He effectively challenged me to get skyped up before the end of the day - so i did.
Wow - all for free - there he was - telling me what to do - all the way from Sweden - his face on my computer screen - my face on his. No where to hide.
Absolutely marvellous.
Big thanks to him ( i have taken another step forward in the virtual world).
Now - happy readers - what else should i be exploring? What use of IT or what bit of equipment should i be investing in?
(and skype is ok - but it means i have to sit in front of my computer? - waiting for the video phone to ring - which is rather like the olden days - waiting for a boy to call! - keeping your whole family off the phone just in case the 'boy of your dreams actually made the miniscule effort to call you like he said he would - i soon realised that if they could not get you on the phone - they came to your house/street to find you - which was much more fun... especially for my Dad - who would often tell them i was out - being happy to join in with my games - so back to the present - aaahhh memories, what do i need to do to use skype on the move?)
All the best ( sitting by my computer - yawn yawn)
