Hi All,

Thought I would give you a quick update on what's been happening here since I last posted on the blog.

I have been travelling quite a lot (which means packing up my portable dog feeder and water bottle) as there have been a lot of success stories and people to meet, really inspiring individuals who have overcome obstacles and adversity.

We met Anna Rayner last week a woman who has set up her own holistic business with reiki and massage after working with Pathways in Leeds to access courses and experience. She has just won Female Entrepeneur of the Year through the Asian Business Network after meaking such an impression in her first year of business.

There will be a film coming soon on the Pathways website about  Anna and many other films are being produced to showcase people everywhere who are working to improve their own lives.

It really struck me how people can be really determined when they set their minds to a goal and don't give up. After being abandoned and left to die I can certainly empathise with people who have had bad experiences - but have faith that things will get better and they generally do - all you need is spirit and determination.

So I am off to Birmingham in the morning to meet with some young learners and then to Cardiff on Friday to meet the Pathways office who want to raise awareness about the service for people in South Wales. Then I have a week off visiting family in Wales and Devon so hopefully lots of nice long walks on the beach.
