Saturday 7th June 2008, 08:18Got the bug - can't sit still - a story that will make you cry - did me...

He he he

In my last blog way back in May - I talked about getting out and about - well... I carried on getting out and about - and as a result did not update my blog!

So back at my desk for the first time in ages (and thinking that I really must ask some techno wizard how I can update my blog on the run!) I have got buckets to share with my demanding readers.

First off - thanks to the loads and loads of people who drop me a line re. the blogs - ( including those who harrass me when I don't do one for a while!) - and thanks to the very smart people who are joining the company every day - who drop me a line to say they have joined - and that were inspired to join by my blogs. Aaaaaaaahhhhh - makes it all worthwhile.

My favourite story of the week - told to me by a senior bod at A4e.

Steven Timms (a gov. minister) has been talking about the work A4e does to improve people's lives. He had recently bumped into one of our customers who told him that A4e had 'saved her life' by asking her an EXTRAORDINARY question.

She explained that she had spent years in the wilderness in a fog of low self esteem and severe depression - being shunted from one professional body to another. A 'nobody that was a number on a benefits list.'

He asked her what the question was that had saved her life. She told him...

that she had arrived at A4e and the EXTRAORDINARY question was...

'would you like a cup of coffee?'

The minister is telling everyone. He gets it. Even better  - our customer is the star who helped him to get it.

Tears in my eyes.
