Sunday 20th January 2008, 00:45Update on France and Germany
Last week Bob Martin, Steve Marsland and I attended the board meetings of our businesses in France and Germany. The implementation of the vision continues. We are recognised in each country for our unique offer of Improving Peoples Lives.
Max and his team in Paris have worked very hard to ensure the vision and the cultures of the French communities we are serving are complimentary. They have fought hard for each client to come through our door and make them comfortable in our world as they introduce them to the tools and techniques and resources we can invest in their future. It was good to see the fruits of this hard work and the output from such a tight knit team. Recent job performance by the team in our two centres means that 67% of the unemployed people who come to our centre for help move back into sustainable work within 6 months. Fantastic.
In Germany Achim has expanded our operations to a fourth centre. The performance in respect of jobs and sustained employment speaks volumes to the partners we work with in Germany. They have had the confidence to expand our business and encourage our growth into new centres so that we can support the long term unemployed communities. The team in Germany have proved that creativity and customer service can secure results for our customers.
Thanks to the teams in France and Germany and the staff from the UK who have supported the development of these two European businesses. 2008 promises to be an exciting year in Europe for A4e as we expand into new countries alongside growth and diversification of our existing markets. Over the next few weeks I will bring you an update on the Middle East, Africa and Australia developments.
Thanks for your ongoing support as we push further into these international markets.
