The IT system has finally ground into action and revealed the responses to my blogs that were hidden in a weird account - so a belated thank you to all who have been in touch.

I have had an enourmous response to the C4 prog Secret Millionaire. The general feeling is that people were inspired by the programme and that they shed a few tears. Some saying it was the best TV they had seen in an age. Thank you.

The prog had a purpose - a sense of purpose - maybe that made the difference. Hope so. I hear that C4 have commissioned another six 'secret millionaires' - because they were so pleased with the impact. So, a TV prog that seeks out the good that people do and celebrates the good. It was what we were all waiting for - maybe we have all had enough of the 'bad' emphasis that dominates so much TV.

Got a few speeches coming up - one of which is at the IOD conference. I am sure they don't know what they have let themselves in for! Much like the Big keynote speech I did at the Institute of Chartered Accountants.They had been there all day - listening to some great brains trotting out magnificent theories and debating dry ideas - then it was my turn...  I had to wake some of them up... so I used my very challenging line that all accountants represent the forces of evil !! I enjoy winding them up - and it isn't difficult - the ones who get the joke are normally the sort of accountants that entrepreneurs want to work with. Those that don't get the joke - well..... Enough said.

So I will keep doing my speeches - challenging thinking - trying to move some of the 'forces of evil' into understanding how great businesses are built by people who want to 'do well by doing good.'
