It's one of those really fantastic places that makes you realise how many hidden gems are dotted around this city.
Sally Clark who runs the Chimney House had her dog 'Mini' sat at the desk with her. She made us feel very welcome (Sally that is not Mini!) with fresh coffee and a selection of snacks around their impressive meeting table made from reclaimed parquet flooring.

Tom is pictured here with me last year the day before I found Bette in exactly the same place as she was abandoned the day after. He was a wire haired fox terrier and everyone said he looked like a teddy bear.
It made me realise how much happiness pets can bring so I have done a post on the community urging everyone to post up a picture of their pets - or if they don't have one a funny picture of an animal that makes them laugh.
For each picture posted I will donate a £1.. View Complete Post Tuesday 4th May 2010, 16:38Volunteering and Community WorkHi Everyone,
On last months post me and Bette mentioned joining up to do Pets as Therapy to go around to visit people in hospital and in homes who like animals and want cheering up.
Well I have the application forms through finally today and it could be up to 16 weeks until Bette is approved to become a PAT Dog. The one worry we have is that she has to go through a test to be obedient - and in all honesty I have never trained her - I mean she will come to me when we are going out for a jog off the lead - but when it comes to sit down / beg roll over etc - no such luck.<.. Will have to start doing them from home instead of watching boring TV!
The main reason for the blog being neglected is that working on the Community Site is a real priority and it's undergoing losts of developments to make it an even stronger feature of the A4e online presence. After a month of blustery snowy disruption we are facing February with a runny nose and gritted teeth here in the Marketing Department at A4e.
It was certainly a busy as we came back from the Christmas Holidays ready for action only to be snowbound in Sheffield having to strap tennis rackets to our feet to brave the conditions.
Luke did attempt to walk me the morning black ice arrived on the streets of S11 only to fall over and smack his shoulder on a tricky corner pavement manouveure.

As the floods currently batter the country it is great to see the sense of community for people living in Cumbria at the moment who have really pulled together to ensure everyone is safe and well.
It makes you think how imporant communities are in general and made us think about how we can go out there and engage with the local community.
Like Ayesha Jackson in Direct Payments who is currently organising staff in Sheffield to volunteer at the homeless soup kitchens over Christmas - did you know about that?
