Thursday 28th January 2010, 11:12Nearly February Already! After a month of blustery snowy disruption we are facing February with a runny nose and gritted teeth here in the Marketing Department at A4e.
It was certainly a busy as we came back from the Christmas Holidays ready for action only to be snowbound in Sheffield having to strap tennis rackets to our feet to brave the conditions.
Luke did attempt to walk me the morning black ice arrived on the streets of S11 only to fall over and smack his shoulder on a tricky corner pavement manouveure.

The team all met last week to go through what had been achieved in the last 12 months and it took nearly two hours to go through everything.

As the floods currently batter the country it is great to see the sense of community for people living in Cumbria at the moment who have really pulled together to ensure everyone is safe and well.
It makes you think how imporant communities are in general and made us think about how we can go out there and engage with the local community.

After a lovely 10 day siesta in Barcelona and Sitges Luke and Bette are back in Sheffield refreshed and ready to take on the next round of filming and photoshoots that all the front line A4e staff have kindly set up for us over the next few months.
After a great response to our post asking people for the their success stories to film we will be out and about meeting individuals who are getting back into work and doing really well.

Thought it was about time I let you know what I have been up to since my last post when I went on holiday.
Had a very nice week away in Wales and Devon and it has been all systems go since I returned. Obviously we had the amazing FND news which has meant everyone here at A4e is very busy which is never a bad thing as long as I still get fed and watered!

Work is ongoing within Marketing to spread the word about A4e.TV and entries are already being sent in. The next phase is to offer SMS messaging to people so we can get more entries from peoples mobile phones.

I have just got back from London with Luke after the Easter Bank Holiday following a busy week of planning a Pathways Event down in Brighton last Thursday 8th April.
The event was to promote a 'Healthier Way Into Work' idea A4e have devised looking to encorage Pathways clients who have struggled with ill health to give them a boost if they are looking to get back into suitable and sustainable employment.

Maria and Bubbles emailed me yesterday and had a very good idea about using my Marketing blog to help other doggies in distress across the UK.
As you will know readers I was abandoned in South Wales and if it had not have been for the love of all the A4e Staff I dread to think what would have happened to me.
Maria has suggested making this blog a way to help raise funds for dog charities to ensure other young pups are getting the support and love they need.

My first new A4e Doggie friend is a Welsh girl called Bubbles. She is owned by Maria Thomas Partnership Manager in Wales so it just goes to show you can take the girl from Wales but not Wales from the girl.
I must admit Bubbles has the most beautiful fur and I am a little worried that if we go out on the town together when she pops up to Sheffield that she may show me up (they say blondes have more fun and all that).

It's been a very busy week in the A4e Group Marketing Department. I was even in the office this Saturday where Luke and Andrew were busy setting up a new working area for Development and Marketing.
Then yesterday I travelled up on the train with Luke to Middlesbrough where we filmed people who have come to Britain because their own countries are dangerous places to live and met people who help them to find security and a place to call home.
