Many people spend their lives in very senior roles where they support or deliver much needed front line services to others.

Time and time again I come across policy makers, consultants, leaders and managers who create vastly complex sructures to deal with the issues that they identify. Juggling what they already have - squeezing things to make them fit - dancing around the status quo - writing vast diatribes and of course coming up with things that don't improve the lives of the real poeple they were meant to serve.

Naughty me - I have not done a blog recently. So busy doing what i do that I don't take the time out to reflect on and record the things i do - and I end up getting nudges from my blog readers asking when I am going to satisfy their urge to read my ramblings.

That makes me guilty of the same mistake that I often point out to people/companies I support and mentor. If you want other people to join you, you have to tell people what you are doing and what you plan to do. Overcoming Poverty

Don’t you just love it when somebody says something in a few simple words which you have been grappling with for years? For 20 years I have been trying to say to people I met that expecting unemployed people to get a job is not a penalty, it should not be a hardship. I tried to explain in long paragraphs with few full stops that when we are seeking to support somebody back into work we see it as an enrichment of social justice, not a punishment of that person.
