I have been inspired by the work and commitment of the staff, parents and children who form this school community. Last month we entertained a group of Polish MPs in our London offices. We felt very privileged that this group of elected representatives from Poland would travel to the UK to see our work at first hand. They wanted to see with their own eyes the way we help people from all communities find a way forward. They spoke to our customers and staff. They tested our ability to link these programmes into the needs of the people who live in Poland and are unemployed. After many hours we shared our insights. I felt very privileged to receive an invitation from the APPETD group of private providers in South Africa to speak at their International Conference in June 2007. The conference was very well attended and discussed the issues faced in a country with an emerging sector focused on private education and training. Although our concept of Work First is not yet familiar in South Africa it did receive a very warm reception from the room and I was surrounded by interested parties at the end of the speech.

I had never visited Australia before and I found a wonderful place with warm people who have open arms and gave me a real welcome.
