As you know I undertook to complete the London Flora Marathon after being inspired by Steve Marsland, Laura Hargreaves, John Ashworth and Steve Glassock last year. This was tough because before I could complete a marathon I really needed to loose 5 stone in weight, I had health problems and asthma and was not great at taking responsibility for my own health.

I had the chance to visit South Africa last week in response to a number of invitations we have received to explore the opportunities to deliver our services. Arriving in Johannesburg I was struck by the sense of energy and spirit the local people have as they build their country. Unemployment is a real issue which affects most families in South Africa particularly in the rural communities. I just want to thank everyone who took part in this year’s One Vision. It was really good for the soul to meet up with old friends and make new friends.
